Thanks Carl. She’s a really good runner and I just felt it needed a little re-freshnwith an mg and crew member.

All bits from MK modellbau.

The tamiya turret hatch is not hinged... so I robbed a hinge from a Heng Long kv and cut it about and added the latch detail.

Good afternoon,
Excellent and needed work, sir. The figure and the mg are something that I am also adding to my early KV-2. A figure really helps to show the immense scale of 'Stalins Giants'
regards,
Painless

A long gap there Adam between the unveiling, and the detailed finish but worth the wait. Love the MG and detailing around the turret, especially  Your tank commander, though, appears to have had an unfortunate encounter with ISIS.. :O

I had finished it, or so I thought lol

I’ll get some more photos when the headless commander is done. Waiting for a Russian tanker head...

Machine gun and mount finished and painted. Just need a bit of weathering to tie in with the tank.

Figure awaiting a head.

All the colours are nicely blended to give that authentic 'lived in' look. Building a Tamiya is immersive fun; but painting one- to do the build justice ( as I've lately discovered)- is much, much harder.. :)
Excellent work, Adam.
