Having a slight issue with the weathering - seems the thinners or something has reacted with the clear coat, hoping to resolve it this week but needless to say I won't be using clear coats again.

Some photos of progress, or lack of to follow later.

Yes, was an enamel based wash (mig) on top of the tamiya ts80 clear coat.

Slightly depressing :(

This is last night after applying the mig wash thinned with white spirits.

A couple of days before it did the same with the mig wash thinned with enamel thinners.

I cleaned most of it off last night but needs tidying up tonight before setting aside to decide what to do.

It's only affected the Matt clear coat from what I can see, got the majority of its off last night before bed.

I'll have a look tonight then do a different wash.

Ohh thats a shame..........that white cloudy effect seems to be a Tamiya clear thing.
I use a matt sealer for paintings etc, never had a problem with it.
Im sure you will recover it

Saved the day - Paul suggested I use baby oil as it might clear the white cloudy mess that the flat coat caused... It only bloody worked! 99% gone.

Leaving to dry then tomorrow I'll attempt some washes/filters.

Relieved it's back to normal, the pin wash stayed, even some of the mig filter/wash remained. Not using a clear coat again, my heart can't take it!

I believe I have saved the KV from the bin :D

Applied a thin black wash followed by a thin brown/sand mixed wash.

What do we think?
