Bits turned up today from Dave for the mid tiger - track links/holders, mg42 and AA mount, centre headlight and mount.

Got to work out the spare track positions next.

Awaiting original Tamiya sprues for some other spares for the early tiger.

Also had an idea for the early one - a semi fictional Japanese Tiger. Techinally they did buy one but the paintwork will be my interpretation of what it would have looked like I Japanese hands.

These holders were a pain in the ass - they're bent for the HL/Taigen turret, have straightened them out with pliers and fixed to the turret top.

Got the dimensions for placement off a great tiger I website.

Spare links and holders fixed to the turret top and side, top is still detachable for access to turret gubbins.

Not a nice job to do with zimmerit in place, need to fill a few gaps at some point but happy with the look.

Headlights and wiring fitted tonight.

Brackets pinched from the mid tiger to use on the early tiger.

Almost ready for paint I think.

[quote="Guido Henn"]Hello,

the suspension is one from Wecohe/ Corleis.

This suspension is in the moment sold out,no one knows when they will produce more.

Hi all,i have a set of this suspension that i got with a Tamiya Tiger which also had the Schumo reduction gears, metal tracks and a full Aber kit..
i took the torsion bars out when i stripped it down and put it back to std Tamiya setup.
Ive never got around to re-fitting it.

I am not using them and might consider selling although no idea what they are worth these days.
PM me if interested.

Cheers

Tim

Base coated both tigers this afternoon. Now dry enough to move and take a quick snap.

Japanese early tiger in dark green.

Mid tiger in dunkel gelb.

Done some research with David and he found some rare photos of mid tigers with fiefels. So they're staying!

Thoughts on the colours? Mainly the green one lol

Both tigers put back together this evening. Detail parts added.
Just need to finish painting some bits and weather them both.

Decided to swap all dmd bits from the yellow one and install in green one, the yellow one will be for sale soon - I've chosen my beast Image
