In fact, there is a set of Königstiger transport tracks available right now (18 Feb. 2021). I got all excited at the idea until I saw the price. 8O Nonethless,I have bought from this seller before, and all went just fine.

Mr Surfacer 500 added to the front and sides for some texture.

Cast parts had a thicker mixture.

Ad Lav,

That JP is starting to come along nicely! I've almost forgot how "right" it looked in the beginning! Carry on, I'm following along!

Cheers,
Eric.

Nicely thought through project, Adam. What did you use for the front mud guard extensions? A nice detail often omitted. Excellent work.

Thanks Ralph.

Looking forward to getting the tracks and wheels on when the idlers arrive.

I cut the stock spronsons off and trimmed neatly along the front mudguards. Drilled out the position where the bolts lined up.

Ooh shiny wheels update!

Approached Patrick about some new hubs as he had done some for Ralph. A bit of tweaking and they fit the Tamiya King Tiger wheels/bearing perfectly.

Slightly miffed yesterday, best laid plans gone to waste.

I got new KT wheels, Panther 2 hubs and shafts etc.
Taigen KT idler and shafts.
The idlers rub the wheels and shafts not long enough to be caught by the grub screw. Switch the wheel pattern around and they rub the sprocket...

Basically I would need to do the Panther G with steel wheel setup, using Panther tracks but alas I did that one once before.

At least the Panther F cupola and final drive housings fit - thanks to Forgebear for the bits.
