This one took a back seat when i won an old Tamiya KT. If the weather continues to be cold will start again.
The tow cables and jack etc may have to go as it has 4 vents for the fuel system.

Hello. Nice beginning restoration on this tank.

I have a question. Where do you find the "hooks" for the radio operator and driver. Hooks for hatchs.

Thank you for answer.

Hi Just bent some copper wire to size and drilled holes to suit. Put a piece of styrene between the holes to try and get them all same height when glueing . Much better than the solid hatch handles.

Thank you very much, but not these ones.

I ask for the hooks between the front of turret and the 2Hatchs. Hooks to keep the hatchs open.

Thank you.

Added fuse and a switch to the battery, perfect fit between gearbox and speaker.

Going to start track hangers . Takes a lot of effort making them , should look for metal ones this time. Need to remove the track fitting blocks on turret . Any suggestions for removing and getting a nice rolled pitted effect to match the turret texture ?

Track hangers , just doing them as the Tamiya fixings for tracks annoyed me as you can't leave some off.
photos - 1 (2).jpg
next problem match the rolled steel
photos - 1 (3).jpg
looks ok and fixing for track pin lines up

Next will be trimming the support hooks

1/16 and 1/35 tamiya track , why miss out the extra slots track
Wonder if you can buy metal tracks with the extra slots , or is it drill them out like the plastic track?

Trial run for the optics, might be too dark for the green. Need to look for a slight bluish green for final effect.

might make a surround for the perspex

At least it fills the void.

The green periscopes are too green , another try.

Perspex with a slight blueish tint, made another set

Hull periscopes fitted

Look better , next will i fit a surround or just paint a line around .

Sorting front mudguards, inner section. Now the mudguard will line up with the fixing pin.

Made a mistake with the front mudguard , the inner should be on the outside edge as the hull standoffs for the skirts moves the skirts further out.

Glued onto edge now not inside and flush.

Good progress.

I use clear blue on my Sherman’s - Green looks good for the KT.
