WPL truck to Diamond T/M19 conversion

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

Nice one Alwyn, that first test run is always a 'will it, won't it' moment. You just need to repaint the skirting boards and doors and you are good to go! :haha:

As you can see I am building this very heavy duty so there should be no problem carrying a tank, the big question is whether the Diamond t will have the grunt to pull it!

Well I was going to the LAD meeting but had to call a snow day (gale force wind, blizzards, drifting snow) so instead I settled down to design and print the trailer rear suspension

just got lots of hubs and tyres to print now

It's starting to look like it should

but plenty of work still to do

Printed the first 8 of 24 tyres, it's a long haul

but starting to come together. I've experienced a slight problem with the TPU material in that it's not so easy to remover supporting material, but perseverance and a sharp knife work wonders.

Well that's a job I'm glad to see the back of. If anyone wants to know what the result of approx 110 hours of 3d printing looks like, then here it is

Tomorrow I plan on getting the Diamond T hooked up to see if it will pull it!
