Opel blitz German supply truck/ heng long truck based.

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

Hi,
I can supply parts however you want.
I’ve been redoing the Hanomag recently to put cut lines in the correct place, a two piece bonnet & much better mudguards.
The Deuce is a single piece print but looks good on a chassis.
The Blitz is quite a basic model, but I will be revisiting it before long to see what improvements can be made.
I’ve got models for V1 doodlebug & V2 rocket, they look quite impressive.
I’ve a PaK 40 too, I printed a few of these off & they’d look good being towed around the battlefield, it would be doable to add recoil to it as well.
Oh, almost forgot, I’ve a Kettenkrad too.
I’m looking for any ideas for what to focus on next?
Cheers
Wayne

Too bad my Edward G. Robinson impression doesn't come across in print.

Nyaah, this is me, see. Eddie G. Nyaah. A kettenkrad, eh? Holdin' out on me eh? Nyaah, I might have to send a few of the boys round there. Nyaah.

:haha: :haha: :/ :O

I'm printing the PAK 40 right now, and I think it's gonna be great behind the Blitz.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Afternoon all,

Just adding a pic of what I used for the rear mud guard / fenders on the trucks cargo bed as I see that a couple of you are interested in the cab that Wayne ( midlife306 ) made for me. I found a top which was the right diameter for the wheels from an old rattle can primer I had laying around which was ideal for this application , I measured the depth and width that it needed it to be and managed to cut both sides from one top so well happy with the result and they didn't cost me a bean :D hope this maybe of some help

Cheers,Lee. Image

Thank you Mick, if it's not bolted down in the house there's a chance it could end up in a build :haha: I've seen me hunting around on numerous occasions for that perfect ( free ) part that I need

Cheers, Lee.

It is surprising what you can find in the kitchen as well,
My lady when she sees me there says something along the lines of "I suppose your on the scrounge for more bits for your "TOYS" !!!
To paraphrase Tony Hancock "TOYS !!! TOYS !!! , Modelling gems matey".
And don't forget the boudoir the perfect place to find "Emory Boards"
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I know what you mean Shaun, they even ask me in work now what I'm making when they see me mooching around looking for bits :D as i say if it's not bolted down it can't be that important and is up for grabs :haha: :haha:

Cheers , Lee.

Came across a nice little edition of an Andrew's design pak 35/36 to go with the truck, hopefully it will spur me on to getting it finished
