That Deuce is COOL

I been plodding with some more truck models!
Started to bash up my Willys a bit, plus i got loads of pictures from being in Normandy so i can get the accessories just right for this odd 1/11.5ish scale thingy

I’ve been busy with the Deuce this week, the cab has been primed red then grey, so I can see when I should stop sanding lol.

3 cans of olive drab have been ordered.

I’ve been scaling up Tiger6’s Deuce 3D model (cheers Martin), the load bed base is one piece at 1/16, but at 1/6 it’s circa 600mm x 400mm x 25mm thick, it would take forever to print & would use a bloody scary amount of filament.
I printed the frame for under the load bed & CA’d it to a sheet of 3mm plasticard.

I printed some 3mm high spacers to go between the base & the sides, when all stuck together it’s a very rigid structure, this also leaves a nice area between the sides for a sheet of 6mm hardwood plywood, I’ll cut that tomorrow hopefully.
I’ve also managed to make the tailgate workImage
