HL Truck Mods

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

This model truck mallarky is getting out of hand!

Going more dual motor setup and this is big stuff now

It even just about fits in a c chassis!

Having to play a bit with ratios however to get the torque. If i want WPL type speed and more torque i have to run these beauties in 500 or 1000rpm setups and run 4s! which actually means running 2x 2s lipo in series haha due to size constraints.
But i have some lower rpm motors coming so i can run more torque and slower speed on 3s

Whilst i was playing, i decided to do some serious Torque tests for my little dual 180 setup.
This setup yes is slow, but who cares when it can pull

I had to do.it to prove pulling power as everyone is sceptical. As for weight that oil filled radiator is 15kg. So i don't think I can add enough weight up.front to get the front wheels down haha

Lowering the tow point with a drop hitch would work too.
