Rather than go down the 3D printed route which is unlikely to succeed for all sorts of reasons, it might be worth trying to take moulds off the bought one and creating resin copies.

I have no experience of resin moulding and casting but will look into it. It certainly would seem a lot easier than faffing around trying to get something fit for printing.

One of my clubmates (Task force 72 scale model ship Assoc. here in Australia) has been printing in sections the entire superstructure for his 1/72 Kirov class battlecruiser Peter the Great!!

He is using a Flashforge dreamer printer and has been running it day and night printing bits!!
It was approx. $1400 Aussie dollars when he got it, looks pretty good on the specs sheet!!

Cheers Bruce

hi guys 8)

they are not comercial, not uploaded to any 3D print service (like shapeways, etc...)

but if anyone is interested and want to print them itself for personal use and in any way want to take profit shelling them, my club mate who is designing and printing the 1/16 or 1/18 extras for our Panzodome has allowed me to send the files for free.

we have (you have plenty of pics on the Panzodrom thread)

- MG ammo boxes closed with carrier handle closed
- MG ammo boxes closed without carrier handle (you have to use a wire or a staple to make the handle)
- MG ammo boxes opened with separated lid (you have to glue the lid in place)
- MG ammo belts
- MG Lauftschützer 43
- 3.7cm Flak43 ammo boxes closed (you have to use wire or staple to make the handles)
- 3.7cm Flak43 ammo boxes opened with separated lid (you have to use wire or staple to make the handles)
- 3.7cm Flak43 ammo upside down for the opened boxes
- 15cm NbW41 rockets
- 15cm NbW41 rocket's containers opened with lid
- 15cm sFH18 shells boxes closed
- 15cm sFH18 shells boxes opened
- 15cm sFH18 shells empties
- 15cm sFH18 Sond.Kart.7u.8
- 15cm sFH18 projectiles (Gr.19 Be FES and Gr.36 FES)
- 8,8cm FlaK36 wood ammo boxes closed
- 8,8cm FlaK36 wood ammo boxes opened
- 8,8cm FlaK36 metal shell containers
- 8,8cm FlaK36 empty shells
- 12cm GrW42 wood ammo boxes

and more to follow, you will see them on the Panzodorm thread when i publish the advances (8,8cm FlaK36 shell containers, metal boxes for Stielhandgranaten 24, wood boxes for Stielhandgranaten 24, 15cm sFH18 ammo (Spgr.Patr.36 & Gr.Patr.39), MG42 barrel containers, and more...

note: the radios Torn.Fu.d2 are form another guy and i'm not able to deliver them nor for free or for any fee, as i said in another posts, he is planning to open an online store and shell all the stuff he is making, but i do not know when this will happen, if ever.

note2: my club mate is not a professional, and has not special knowledge in 3d design with the modern software, he is making the models in autocad and then export the file to .stl format. We use a software called UP for our printer to print the items. The quality is not professional, but is ok for what we need and want, so if anyone has to complaint about the details etc, better if he is not asking for them to be delivered beforehand :silent:

so, drop me a line and i will have the files send to me and i will redirect them to anyone interested, for free of course.

EDIT: my bad, i said only 1/16 but there are in 1/18 too, depending upon the figures and gun they have to serve! I mean, the nebel rockets are 1/16, bacause the rocket launchers we have are the verlinden ones, in 1/16, but for example, the MG ammo cans are 1/18 because the figures are the 21st CT and also they MG guns,so...

best regards

That is an awesome list, and to say it is a very generous offer would be a massive understatement.

W.W.,
Do you have one of these reserved? ( Only 19,999,99 for the entire setup + material ) You could finally print sets of those obscure tracks in 1/30 and 1/144 I have been looking for. ;o)
regards,
Painless
