Thanks!

This is part of the "trial and error" of designing your own tank. All looks good but when turning the turret it binds on the upper hull. Shame as the turret took a lot of time and has to be redesigned now.Image

I finally bought my own 3D printer, so I'm hoping for some faster progress now ImageImage

Nice, but what are you using the brake cleaner spray for? That stuff typically eats plastics and paint.

Coming together nicely, you'll soon need to invest in a resin printer for the fine detail parts ;)

Printed all the bogies, they were a bit too wide so redesigned them. They do work well, with working independent suspension

Redesigned turret is being printed as I post this message. It's so much easier now to do some test prints with my own printer! :D

The suspension is finished and works superb, something I'm very happy with. It works the same as the full size Sherman.

Redesigned turret has been printed as well and it looks and fits way better. The old turret was too "fat" on the sides.

Also tried to print some details, which didn't turn out too bad either!ImageImageImageImageImageImage

I've been redesigning the lower hull to provide a stronger chassis, and hopefully an easier assembly. The current lower hull has a bit too much flex in it, so I hope this will solve that problem. I'll soon start to print this version to see if it's as strong as I had in mind.

So the new hull has been printed and assembled. It's much stronger now so I'm very happy! I'm very interested to see how it holds when driving on rough terrain.

I also installed the elevation and recoil servo in the turret and they fit as intended.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
