Re: The 3D Printer Thread
I agree with Wayne on this, you may battle to achieve a decent quality of print on what sounds like a very cheap printer and it appears to use linear bearings which aren't good for quality printing, however as a learning exercise using a cheap printer may give you a reasonable starter, but it could give you a lot of frustration if you are unable to achieve decent prints. When you are ready to move on then a Creality printer would be the way to go and there are a number of suppliers who are selling 'used' printers, although they do seem to sell a lot of them which makes me suspect that they are probably new but sold as used because of manufacturer retail price maintenance agreements.

Good luck with your printer and don't be shy to ask for advice if you experience initial problems.

Re: The 3D Printer Thread
Thanks. I have CR10S Pro and struggle with consistent quality.

Its something a lot of people seem to forget. Consistency is key.Kaczor wrote:Thanks. I have CR10S Pro and struggle with consistent quality.
I try to maintain every printer and give them thorough clean once per week. So let's say every150hrs
Keeping an ambient temperature and humidity is also very important. I still get errors time to time, so we have scrap. Maybe 10% which is not too bad for batch production.
Every breakdown helps experience and improves the process and product

It's probably this. In my workshop it was below 15 deg C during winter.Will01Capri wrote:Keeping an ambient temperature and humidity is also very important.
Re: The 3D Printer Thread
Im experimenting with trying to print 1/6 tank track links for a sherman tank. What would be the strongest material to use for printing the links?
