Heng Long U.S. Truck Driver

Post by Alfa Three Five »

I was looking for a driver for my U.S. Army truck.

I still have an old HL German tank commander in my inventory.

I had to chose another uniform for him, I decided to go for a Goretex jacket and a boonie hat both with BDU Woodland camo.

With the help of some putty, I sculpt the jacket and the hat.

And the result once painted. In fact, I found the way he's sitting behind the wheel very cool and relax.

This thread inspired me to do something similar with my Gaz 66 Shishiga. All I had by way of a figure was a 1/18 Indiana Jones Russian soldier, so I got out my trusty razor saw to chop him in half. I kept his belt, and cut the rubber skirt section of his tunic in half, so that once he was stuck on to the seat, the rubber part was cut to shape and put in front of his torso on the seat, creating the illusion that he was a full figure sitting on the seat, bent at the waist. Looks pretty convincing from most angles once the cab roof is on, too.
