Verlinden WW2 US Army Medic

Post by silversurfer1947 »

I picked this up for a reasonable price, thinking it would make a useful addition to accompany Rob's ambulance on our battlefield.

I have loved Francois Verlinden's figures since the 1970s, when he was "just" an amateur making 54mm Napoleonic figures. He is a real artist. It is a shame that when he retired and his company shut down that all the moulds were destroyed, though I can understand his reasoning. What is available now is all there will ever be. Sadly, this has been reflected in the prices that some are selling for.

I've just taken delivery of a box of 4 Verlinden Tank crew, I just had to have them even though they cost £91 from the States.

I also used to admire his work, especially in the armour Builds he did.
Your medic is a great example of the living soldier he is famous for and you have executed hthe image really well.
