NEW WPL E1 Tracked Vehicle (Gaz-71)

Post by WCP RC MODELS »

Hello
Yes we bought one here @ WCP Models to see what it was like and maybe make some parts for it

First unboxing of the vehicle
phpBB [video]

Then a quick assembly video adding on the parts
phpBB [video]

Then we did a quick update video, but more on this in time
phpBB [video]

All in all, quite an impressive piece of kit

Pros
Can almost go anywhere and drives well
For price, this is an impressive tracked vehicle
Looks great
Lends itself to customisation like any other WPL model

Cons
Not 1/16! :( closer to 1/18.5 on average hahahahaha (driver needs to be made even smaller to fit!)
Not waterproof
On harsh terrain with gravel or grass, tracks can be pulled off(however they are easy to replace), you can alter driving style to minimise this occurence

Wrong scale is disappointing.

Interesting info, i had the length down at 7.8m for Gaz 71 & 3.34m width.
I am now wondering if the info source is bad or if there is a different variant which is longer?

From your blueprint below its close to 1/18.5 in length. Better than what i had at least

The rubber band tracks don't lay like the picture below either, but i am sure that can be fixed in near future

We also did a track test video to see why sometimes the tracks pop off with more extreme running, this turns out to be track alignment after the sus arms move and flex

My all-terrain vehicle is already on its way from China...
In our country, this is still the only transport beyond the Arctic Circle ..
There is nothing to replace this car yet, unpretentious, lightweight, versatile.
Oilmen, geologists, polar explorers ..... I will make it a waterfowl as it should be!

30 bucks is the red price of this toy!
Yes, free shipping is awesome!
When disassembling, I found that there is another socket on the control board for connecting LEDs, I think for the rear lights, I have not checked it yet ...
One connector for headlights, the other .... intrigue!
Very cool toy!
The grandson is already impressed with the game = oh with this all-terrain vehicle ... it is 100% vandal-proof
Recommended for outdoor play!
