Re: Matilda soundset for clark boards
Very cool to hear the unique sounds come alive in an rc board
I wonder, did other British armour come with this particular engine and gun sound combination?
Well done Stian

Great sounds there, Stian! All that's needed now is a Matilda 2 to output them

Re: Matilda soundset for clark boards
The Matilda 11 was powered by either a pair of Leyland 6 cylinder 97 hp diesels each or a pair of AEC diesels of 87 hp each,
The Main gun was an OQF 2 Pounder,
This was first introduced into service in 1935 and was effective against German Tanks equipped with the 37mm main gun such as fitted into the Panzer 111, it was phased out after 1941 and it was superseded by the 6 Pounder,
Its biggest failing was its inability to fire HE (High Explosive) Shells,
The Valentine 2 mk111 was also powered by an AEC 6 cylinder Diesel engine but unlike the Matilda 11 it was a single 131 HP motor,(This engine went on after WW2 to power the majority of AECs Southall factory Heavy Trucks in normally aspirated and turbocharged versions )
The OQF 2 Pounder like the Matilda 11 was its main armament,
Those are the nearest comparisons of Main Gun and Engine fittings I can find for British Armour.
