Hello TOTM fans
Yes, it's that time again, time to dust off your shelf queens, or clean off the excess garden dirt and remove debris from the tracks and take some photos, and or videos to submit for our viewing pleasure.
You are allowed to post up to a total of eight of these visual representations, along with a description of anything you have done to the model to make it yours.
Anyone can enter, with only one exception, the winner of last month's TOTM will have to sit this one out.
We look forward to seeing your models.
Please use the dedicated chat thread for conversations about this month's TOTM, which can be found here.

I'll start this month off then with my M51 IDF Sherman. It's got a tamiya lower hull and turret and a modified mato cast upper hull with a 3D printed engine deck, It's fitted with an ibu2 pro. The last pic is of the tank during the construction stage. Built, painted and photos by me

Hi,
Here is a M3 Lee Early Production.
It is a highly modified Vandra conversion resin kit mounted on a Mato M4A1 chassis. It has the following features;
- Scratch built cast turret of the proper dimension, replacing undersized Vandra turret
- Scratch built corrected roof and upper hull length to accommodate the turret
- Scratch built cast commander cupola
- Scratch built early rear exhaust
- Early suspension, from modified Shapeways conversion
- Early spoked roadwheels from Shapeways
- Early T41 tracks converted from Mato tracks
- Access door on the right side
- Corrected driver's hatch and frontal armor plate
- 75mm sponson gun elevation, horizontal movement, recoil , flash and sound, coax machine gun flash and sound
- Turret rotation, 37mm gun elevation and machine gun flash and sound.
I was not happy with the original Mato gearbox kept during the build and i have since replaced it with a slow metal gearbox as seen in the following video.
Regards, Louis

Here's mine: A Takom Panzer 1B plastic model kit, converted to radio control using the innards from a Heng Long 1:30 r/c M4 Sherman. I used the Sherman's turret rotation, sound system and LED headlight. The tracks are Takom's original plastic individual links. They seem to hold up fairly well, no failures yet on concrete, sand and dirt, but I do have metal tracks enroute from China. The camo scheme is of a unit invading France in 1940. i was going to do a DAK scheme, but I have too many yellow tanks already! A short Youtube video shows it runs. https://youtu.be/DSREPJ_uUjA

Oh, not that I would want to unnecessarily influence anyone, but my birthday is on June 9th....

NUMBER 4
Well, the build has dragged on for quite some time now, and so I thought I might (for the first, and probably last time) submit a model for the general behoof: it's the Comet A34. This one's in the markings of the 11th Armoured Division/ 23rd Hussars.
It began life as a styrene flatpack basic kit from Christian Ludwig, but now sports many scratch-built parts, including:
-smoke dischargers
-2in mortar
-radio/ (Troop) intercom
-radio box
-Besa MG mounting
-Hatch hinges
-Mantlet mountings and trunnions
-side elevation unit mountings
...and many more bits and bobs.
Other parts are from the Taigen PzIV (Tracks etc.,); Shapeways etc., whilst the electronic heart is provided by the HL TK 6.1s unit. The Recoil unit is the new HL Alloy type, capable of being enhanced with the 'smoking barrel' feature
The models' painted with Ammo MiG SCC15, British Olive Drab (1944-45 vintage). Apologies for not having a crewman on display, as such. The one I bought looked too huge to fit in the captain's; cupola (Like Captian Hurricane, of comic fame... ) and I've only finished painting a german tanker...
Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=27544
and with a couple of 'guests' (Driver- Charlie Chaplin/Commander: Hauptmann Von Unsinn)
They're just to give a scale 'human' element to the model.
If you manage to stay awake long enough to reach the end of the build thread, you'll also find a short video of the tank in action, by Cecil B. De Military...
