NUMBER 2
Here is my Brummbar
This was built as a project to make a non standard tank made on my 3D printer from files I created myself in CAD.
It is built on a Taigen Pz4 upper hull and full metal lower hull with Asiatam late Pz4 wheels with metal tracks.
The citadel and gun are all my design with full movement and recoil on the gun with flash and smoke added and all the hatches can be opened and all pistol ports are able to be opened.
I raised the drive assembly 3mm and added adjustable rear Idler arms to get the running gear looking better.
The rear deck was modified to get the correct angle With a scratch built tool box and the exhaust was scratch built from brass sheet and tube with some 3D printed detail and that is hooked up to a Tarr smoker with a scratch built tread plate over it.
The tank is still able to be separated with the standard Taigen catch mechanism but both smoke units can be filled by just taking the citadel roof off.
The side armour and frame work is also scratch built from brass sheet as are the spare track mounting brackets and other small details.
All being controlled by an IBU2U Board and all the internal parts being held in place with a 3D printed frame to hold it all in place.
And here is how it was done viewtopic.php?f=207&t=29898

NUMBER 3
Just to help TOTM along, here's one on the simple side. It's a top-of-the-line Taigen Sherman M4A3 with more weathering than I have seen on many Shermans in photos (probably because many did not last very long). I paid special attention to surfaces over which the crew in muddy boots would have climbed aboard. The origins of the commander sergeant I have forgotten already, but I painted him in post-D-Day US uniform. (SOL model?) This Sherman runs on the Taigen V3 system with sound, etc. The I-beam on the glacis is unusual. More typically crews welded up brackets to fit a 2" x 12" board. I found a photo of a Sherman with an I-beam instead, and so I had a case of "I gotta do dat!"

King Tiger ~ sPzAbt 503 ~ Budapest 1945 "Anneliese"
NUMBER 5
In February 1945 the German high command launched its last successful offensive aimed at destroying an advance by Russia towards the oilfields in Hungary. Known as Operation Southwind, Germany quickly and quietly moved men and armor from Germany by rail to Hungary. The 503 Heavy Tank Battalion (sPzAbt. 503) was among the armor already there fighting to defend Budapest. This unit had already engaged in heavy fighting in Normandy and it's surviving tanks had been withdrawn to Germany then sent to Hungary. One of the surviving tanks was a Porsche King Tiger known as "Anneliese" written on its gun mantel. By the time of Operation Southwind it had thawed and the "unpaved roads and the open terrain were muddy and hardly passable even for the tracked vehicles" due to the sudden melting snow. I wanted all of this to show on my model, the camo from the Normandy campaign peeking out from the withering whitewash and the presence of impassible mud from the spring.

I built 2 of these, one Trumpeter and one Henglong

Don't forget the TOTM is open for voting
Please give a little time to peruse the five marvellous models on display. Then would you be so kind as to leave a vote for the one you like the most before you leave. Thank you.

One potato two potatoes
Three potatoes, four!
Five potatoes, six potatoes
Seven potatoes, more!
It's so easy to pick which model to vote for, it's like child's play
