Hello and a Happy New Year to you all
And what better way to kick off the new year than with a Tank Of The Month competition
Although all RC military vehicles are welcome to join in with the fun, next month as promised will be solely dedicated to Trucks only, therefore you may want to take that into consideration when submitting your entries.
As you have probably noticed, I prefer to stay neutral with my opinions of submitted models, but this time I'm going to break cover and mention what would really impress me this month, especially as it's winter here in Britain, any winter weathered or camouflaged vehicles would get extra admiration
Thank you for reading this post. We look forward as always to see what models are submitted

Re: January TOTM submission thread.
Happy New Years, Mick!
I don't have any Winter cammo'd Vehicles so you will have to deal with the 'Polar' opposite. Here is my Desert War 1942 DAK Panzer IV, 'Freda'. This tank was built out of Heng Long, Taigen and Tamiya components with a little scratch building and a lot of eye fooling detail added on. The Panzer was built and painted by me and is a culmination of a 'Want' kept for a long time on the dusty back shelving of my mind. Stock Heng Long gearboxes were smoothed and the suspension beefed up by modded Taigen metal components and running gear. Better electronics and lighting were added along with some hard to find as 'Hens teeth' detailing and crew figures. A lot of research and poking Jarndice with questions went into the paint and unit markings and I ended up with a fantasy version of an actual tank. Here are the Links to the Build and Show Off threads and a short Counter Top video on the 'Tube'. Enjoy! PICS: ( Click to Enlarge )
regards to all,
Painless

Re: January TOTM submission thread.
As it’s shaping up to be an unofficial TD month, why not.
Here’s my su-85.
This has been entered before but since then I have improved the weathering added some cables a tarp and a bundle of logs
As before it’s running on the IBU2U with elevation recoil and flash
Standard smoker at the moment but will likely be changed when it burns out
No battle system on this one though as it’s more of a show tank than a battle tank
Also sports metal tracks and gearboxes. It doesn’t really need them but it has them because, well it can I suppose

Re: January TOTM submission thread.
Hi,
To warm up the winter, here is a Vietnam era Sheridan. Its the Tamiya static version converted to RC with Clark control board, Mato gearbox, Vietnam modifications, etc. The figures and accessories are conversions from Sol Models, Verlinden, Dragon and other. Pictured in my wife's garden last summer.
Regards, Louis

Re: January TOTM submission thread.
Hello guys.
Due to this wintertime of the year, I want to throw in my Ostfront Tiger 1, Befehlswagen III
It is just another Tiger and in fact nothing special compared to most amazing tanks shown in this topic, but I just like the entire scenery setup, I made the pics in.
The Tiger is a metal one from Taigen and its weight is 7,9kg's, with the old RX-18 board inside, stock out of the box electronics.
The crew and Tankriders are from China
Enjoy the pics.
Cheers from across the Channel,
Rob.
