I’ll throw my hat in the ring. Here’s my Leopard 2A7+ that started life as a Taigen tank from Imex. I saw a photo (on the internet of course) of a super cool Leopard 2A7+ prototype that was submitted to the German army for trials. It had a two tone gray camo scheme that really appealed to me. Here is the result.
It weighs 19.6 pounds or 8.89 kilograms. I used 2A7+ kit parts from Ludwigs and DKLM including the FLW200 remote weapon station. The motors are 390s with 4:1 ball bearing gears from Taigen. The Clark TK 80, elevation/recoil, rotation and awesome speaker came from Stian Stollie, my hero. It has barrel flash and gun barrel stabilization. Works like magic! I’ve really enjoyed building this tank. I’ve paid tribute to the 502nd Heavy Panzer Battalion by using the Wooly Mammoth emblem and of course the ever present WW2 bucket hanging on the rear. I kept the MG3 machine gun along with the Browning .50 cal because it looks good to me. The decals are from Peddinghaus. I’ve included photos of the electronics as well.

Gentlemen I give you my fresh out the paint shop crusader
As it is fresh off the line it does not yet carry a war number or any division and rank markings
As a kit from Ludwig I believe it is accurate
What we have here is your standard Ludwig kit sporting the 6pdr main gun
Metal wheels and tracks
My improvised track of choice here are panzer 3
We have a dklm gearbox
And at some point as it’s the only one to fit a Clark’s tk40.
The cammo after many hours of photo trauling is loosely based on that of one kept at bovington also giving believe that the colours are correct.
The search/signal light it currently just the casing but there are plans to install a working one[/quote]
As a side note cut down dress pins make perfect rivets and do stop hurting after a few times pulling it out of your thumb.
Though it’s not yet finished to my usual standard I wanted to share this piece with you.

Hi,
Here is my IDF Centurion build last year. It is a modified Ludwig kit with IDF modification such as new engine rear deck, 105mm L7 gun, machine guns, Blazer reactive armor, figures, front and tail lights, etc. The build can be seen in the modern tank section.
Regards, Louis
