November TOTM submission, now voting thread.

Post by Son of a gun-ner »

Hello fellow TOTM fans

Yes, it's that time of the month again.
All are welcome to enter, with the only exceptions being last month's winner along with all the models entered.

You may or may not already know that this will probably be the last TOTM taking submissions this year, leaving the month of December purely for the runners up Christmas Special. Then it will be business as usual in January.

I along with many others look forward to what modelling delights are generously entered for our viewing pleasure.

Please use the chat thread for comments and discussions about this months entries.

November TOTM chat thread to be found here.

Hi,
Here is a totally rebuilt Ultimate Soldier 1/18 M-48A3 Patton tank that was also transformed into a later M48A3 Mod B version, with comprehensive RC features, Vietnam war US tank crew and infantry platoon riders converted from action figures. The build can be seen in the modern build section.

The model features the following;
- Heng Long steel gearbox
- Heng Long M-26 suspension arms with dampers internally adapted to M48 lower hull and road wheels.
- Mato M-26 metal tracks and sprockets
- All around detailing totally redone
- Clark TK-60 control board with Flysky 10 channel remote
- Turret rotation with main 90mm gun elevation, recoil and flash
- Coax Browning machine gun flash
- Commander's cupola rotation, M2 machine gun elevation and flash
- Working Headlights, tail lights and Xenon search light

And a Video

Here is another Oldie Goldy of mine from back in the Primeval Days of the Forum when Tigers ruled the Earth! This is a Build Bash ( by me ) using an Original Issue HL Pershing ' Snow Leopard' and a box full of Tamiya and scratch built pieces. Once completed, it was almost immediately destroyed by my Pup, Waylon ( he dragged it off the display table by the muzzle by accident ) and was laboriously rebuilt over another months long period. It has received a custom, one off airsoft barrel by the General, Taigen black steel gearboxes, the ( at the time ) updated Taigen electronics and is using one of the latest working Smokers. Tracks are new but not metal ( not needed for as much running as it does ) but the suspension front axles and idlers are now metal to give a little weight to the front. Paint is by me as well, Tamiya and Model Masters rattlecans with Tamiya markings. The Commander, Sarge, is a cleanup and repaint of the stock figure. This tank is up to help jump start the submissions. Be proud of your hard work, folks and show it off!
