January 2018 Tank of the Month Photo Submission thread
Hello there to everyone I hope you have all had a wonderful Holiday season and a great New Year
TOTM Photos will be following the same rules as the past two months. If your pride and joy is posted on the Photo submission section, it won't be eligible for the video submission thread and visa versa.
One entry per person per month. If you post photos of your armour here, you can post a video of a different piece in the Video section. ( one entry per thread per member per month so two total)
This has worked very well so far and the competition has been incredible.
This thread will be open until January 10th so everyone has some extra time to recover from parties and traveling.
Best of luck to all who enter.
remember, don't be afraid to enter, it's for fun and a chance to display your hard work.
Carl

Carl! I'll start it off this month. Pershings have been circulating around in the questions and answers portion of the Forum. Here is B-12, a Marine M26 from the battle for Inchon in 1950. Built from an early Henglong and upgraded with metal gearboxes and idlers and a ton of Tamiya and scratch built details( including a one off metal barrel from the General ). This tank was almost completely destroyed by my greymation puppy, Waylon, right after it was finished... Another month of work was needed to repair and finish it again. Build and paint are mine and the build thread can be found here:

Re: January 2018 Tank of the Month Photo Submission thread
Here´s my Pz IV/70(V) from the tank brigade 109.
I used a HL lower hull including suspension and made a scratch upper hull and 3d printed gun mantlet (only). All tool clamps are also scratch built made of brass. All hatches are moveable and the Commanders persicope is rotating.
It was one of my first scratch build tanks, made in 2013.

Hello Carl and everyone,
I would like to include my Vietnam war era M113A1 ACAV "Bookoo Boom Boom" in the January competition. It is an honour to present it here with the other great builds that are presented.
This vehicle has the following components;
- Ludwigs M113 basic kit, sprocket and Idler with Taigen suspension
- Heng Long gearbox and electronics
- Shapeways M113 road wheels
- Verlinden M113 ACAV resin conversion kit
- Shapeways radios and intercom sets
- Modified Mato headlamps and tail lamps
- HL Pz3 tracks
- Henntec adjustable idler
- Tamiya M2 MG with Aber brass set
- Composite figures from many vendors (Verlinden, SOL, Dragon, PMC, Mitches)
- Scratch build parts, interior, ramp operating mechanism and overall integration of the various components
- Other small items from various vendors
Best regards, Louis

Hey folks, my attempt this month.
Tamiya Sherman converted into an IDF M50 from the mid 60s. Pretty much everything except the chassis has been rebuilt, lots of scratch building, photo etch and 3dp parts.

Anyone remember me? Some very nice work on this forum by all of you. Been a while since I participated and this may not be everyone's flavor, but if I may enter this contest I will offer up my "Forgotten Relic KV2". I am sure PB screwed me and some of my photos were lost of this build, but I have a few saved. Most are close up shots and one of the entire vehicle profile. Despite the appearance this old girl is powered by ElMod Fusion, has extensive upgrades including the no longer produced Schumo steel wheels, ETO return rollers with bearings, custom bracing and idler setup and will absolutely move under her own power. Old but strong. Hope you like her. She is a survivor.
