looks like you have a boat load of 'weld' to put on!! That will keep you out of mischief for a while :crazy:

Thank you Mr Bix.
To be honest there is not too much of it on display only bits here and there like hatch hinges etc, its of all steel construction rather than Aluminium, looks like the makers GKN SANKEY were very particular and it was ground off flush from the close up pics i have.

Hi Chaps.
Started work on the engine exhaust silencer and pipe, on this vehicle it is very prominent and large, probably about 1/3 the length of the vehicle, its eliptical in shape mounted externally down the left hand side.
Mounting straps and bolts also added.

Hi.
Engine exhaust manifold silencer added to left side of hull.
Also added the front exhaust deflection plate.

It’s things like this that makes me glad that Sherman exhaust pipes are largely out of sight.

Hi Chaps,
Further work on the engine exhaust system.
Exit pipe shaped at the tail end and 2 mounting straps added together with the 4 mounting bolts prior to fitting to the hull and silencer.

Hi.
Exhaust now complete fitted to side of hull.
Just a small ledge to fit under full length of pipe section
