British FV432/30 Bull dog
Re: British FV432/30 Bull dog
Mr Brute,
You are quite correct, they were from a scrap Walker bulldog, quite appropiate i thought going onto an British bull dog.
They are very like the original wheels and even more so now.
Here's a pic of a real FV432 wheel to compare.
Regards

Yeah there really is very little difference at all. I think perhaps I should get a move on with my projects so I can start my cromwell. All though I have something quite special on order also. That I have never seen a model of in 1/16. I have seen the real thing a few times but never an rc version
It’s your tank it’s what you make it

Hi Mr Brute, that sounds interesting.
I have not forgotten about this thread, just got side tracked updating a Tamiya Leopard 1A4 i have had for yonks, to modern 2.4 and an Open Panzer TCB and Taigen sound card, it sounds fantastic now.
The Bulldog is now in the paint shop at the moment covered in primer to highlight any issues, its amazing how a model starts to come to life even when its just primer on it.
Will update when i start the Berlin Brigade Urban cammo paint scheme.
Regards.

Corporal Sub: that is smooooth primer! I have yet to try an acrylic primer. What do you use? and thanks in advance for the info.

Hi Herr Dr,
Thanks for your interest.
Its an automotive primer that i use, but its not really the primer that makes it smooth, its all the prep before hand, sanding, filling any defects, more sanding and i then use a filler primer on it and yet more sanding, then 2 coats of the grey stuff plus careful application.
Hope that makes sense.

Hi,
Thank you Herr Dr,
I have finally got the paints to hopefully make an attempt at the Berlin Urban cammo scheme, there's going to be a lot of masking to do that's for sure.
Regards Sub.

"ts not really the primer that makes it smooth, its all the prep before hand, sanding, filling any defects, more sanding and i then use a filler primer on it and yet more sanding." This is, indeed, the hard way, and time-honored. It could be expected that this is what must be done--enamel, acrylic, whatever..." Good, patient, hard work.

Hi Folks.
Half way through the Berlin Brigade Urban Cammo painting, a sneak peak of the front, still got to apply some white.
