With that angle, the doors on the real vehicle must be easier to open than to close. The large flexible trip that serves as a closing handle must be something to pull, specially when the tank is going uphill with fuel tanks full.

This is a Shapeways T-55 positioning light used on the BMP as well, a rare luxury to find this item available on the market. Need 2 at the back, 2 in the middle, more at the front. Also used a T-55 hook from Dioramaparts, modified to look similar to the ones used on the BMP at the rear.

Next step is to take care of the front.
- create and install head lights and guards.
- create the trim vane
- frontal details

After which, I will finalize the connections for the electronics. Its far from finished. I still have the crew and infantry to start.

And just how are normal folk with normal skills supposed to offer adequate comment on such a marvel ??!!
What you do is just staggering :O
Those rear doors must have some form of spring assist device, it would be smart to do that.

Hi, thank you

Presenting the front of the vehicle.

Here is the real vehicle right headlight, guard and trim vane mechanism.

The AFV-Model MLRS light kit has an example of a head light very close to the BMP model used.

A 5mm LED is installed inside each. The lenses will be added only after painting.

The head light guards need to be made from brass rod.

The front armor needs to be pointed so an angled plasticard strip is added to the front top section as per references, and sanded smooth.

The BMP RC model has a nice trap at the front that can be removed to give access to the battery and electronics, it avoid opening up the chassis for basic maintenance.

This is the trip vane on the real vehicle. When raised, it provides protection while entering the water. It prevents the front of the vehicle from sinking too deep into the water, and it stabilises the vehicle.

The trim vane needs to be scratch build. The 1/35 scale model provided dimensions.

A best effort is made to reproduce the trim vane elevation mechanism (static) and the bolts. Notice the plate added to dim the left headlight, and the Shapeways positioning lights.

After some tests, the next step is to permanently install the electronics and the turret on the vehicle. Notice the modified T55 hook.
