Hi,

With the addition of the machine guns, the model is almost finished. Only a few remaining items remains to be done, which I show in the following post.

Here is the Tamiya/Aber M2 .50 cal machine gun installed. I added ammo belts from Live Resin, which adds character. As there is no large gun on an APC, it is important to detail a bit more what's available.

And these are the Verlinden M60 machine guns. I did not find 7.62mm ammo so this is the 5.56mm coming with the Dragon Seal Vietnam Stoner.

Hi, thank you,

Other than a couple of items still in the mail to put on, such as more markings, the vehicle itself is basically completed. Now remain the big task of creating the crew which I provided a planning view a while ago. Christmas vacations will give me plenty of time to work on these.

It is the Eastern front here in Quebec, with lots of snow and -15c temperature so I will not take the model outside to take pictures of it in my wife's garden this time around, although I will likely do so in the spring. My models look a lot better in the sunlight.

For now, here is the almost finished model. It runs very well. Although I did put a very small battery on, it's enough to power the model, have lights, engine and MG sound and play with the rear ramp.

Added spare tracks on front plate.

M113 are rarely seen with the tow cables. One thing I might skip.

Hi,

Here is a short YouTube video showing the M-113 in operation in my basement. Operating the remote while taking a video at the same time is not optimal but it gives a good idea of the model. Will do a better job when the crew will join me...

Good evening, Louis,
I am severely pleased with the quality of your work on everything, especially the machine guns. I've been using Tamiya mgs since Sassgrunt turned me onto them. I used the metal upgrade kit for them on Crazy Joes M36 B1, It is Next Level stuff! Thanks for the short video. It looks like a Runner!

That .50 cal looks just great. And the ammo on the M60 looks just fine. But, that .50 cal is one of the finest machine guns I've seen in the hobby. Great job.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
