Daz's Challenger 2 Build

Hi all Happy New Year

well starting a new project the sherman is still ongoing just need to decide and what to add.

so new project is a Heng Long Challenger 2 basic version plans so far are

detailing with some new [for me] ideas, skills
IBU2U board
after market speaker Dayton Audio PC83-4 3" Full range poly cone driver
Tarr smoker
IR Battle system
Clark Recoil
and im going to have a bash at gun stabilization using some ideas from my RC flying days

heres the tanked arrived

And going to put IR led into sight on gun mantle so opened up the sight door. Oh and cut the barrel ready to fit a gaiter for recoil

Yeah, I shall follow along, and as I have one of these plus a leopard or two, I'll be very interested to see how you deal with the stabilization :thumbup:

Little more update not going for uparmoured going to stay with clean look as I like that look going to base on more modern era KRH tank just got to figure out white decals as their markings have a round border. For now just learning new skills as I go and copying what other people have done as this is only my second tank. So build so far:

Hull and turret now magnetised connection no more screws

Battery box removed and hull reinforced

Decide to open all three sights one over gun mantle has IR emitter so no red covering

and fitted Clark recoil for HL Challenger 2

Still lots to as I bought Tankograd reference book and every time I look at it I get more ideas got to stop doing that or will never finish.

No good check reference book and the deflector plate on the front of the tank is to far back on the HL its further forward on the Chally 2 so deglue sand and polish fill in holes make pins and stick back on slightly back from front lip but close as possible with out interfering with taking upper hull off
