Gentlemen, I thank you both.
This is really starting to look like an Abrams at least based on the photos I have.
Cheers,
Barry

Thanks Mick,Son of a gun-ner wrote:LOL, it's never ending. . . .
But, good on ya Barry, you must be really enjoying this build
I can't see myself going to this level of detail, not enough life left, and I enjoy other Earthly activities. . . .
I am actually enjoying it, well most of the time at least! It's the whole challenge of detailing that I enjoy.

Re: M1A1HA, 9/30 Update, Forward Hull Details
Hi Folks,
I’ve been busy continuing getting on with the detailing of the forward upper hull.
Driver’s Hatch; Added the lever that holds the hatch in the open position as well as the hard stop on which it catches in the open position. There is also the stop/bumper that limits the swing of the hatch in the open position.
Armored Fuel Hatch Lock Handle Retainers; These are the same as on the rear hatches and secure the hatch locking handle in the lock/stowed position.
Headlight Armored Electrical Conduits and Fenders ; I replaced the electrical conduits I had previously fabricated from styrene with ones made from brass “U” shaped channel. The fenders on the tank I am modeling only have the rear lateral depressed stiffeners. I filled and sanded smooth the unneeded ones and filled and milled out the rear one to a more scale depth. I believe I have previously shown the rubber mud flaps. The fenders are fully functional so cleaning up the underside and thinning out the edges is needed. There is still more to be done with respect to the fenders.
Over all view of the forward upper hull.
TAFN, thanks for looking in.
