Thank you Jarlath!

Your find makes perfect sense based on their location. I was sure they were for some type of maintenance action and now we know.

11/8/20 Update

Finalized the Auto Track Tension Setup for the mounting for the Idler Arm.

I used a Ball Bearing at the Idler Arm hull penetration. Then another to allow the mount screw to turn with the Idler Arm. I used a spacer soldered to a plate (brass parts) to transfer the loads on the Idler Arm to a larger area of the hull. It was flexing too much under loads. I was able to use the original Tamiya mounting part (aluminum colored part).

Thanks for looking in!

Hi Barry,
Here's some additional insight on those unidentified brackets on the lower hull sides, they accept the ends of a "track torque binder"(item #9) that appears to be used to support and guide the track as it's passed over the return rollers when attaching the track.

Good morning, Doc,
An inhuman level of work and attention to detail as always! Looking at the type of hex head fastener that you used on the inside of the lower hull, you could cut down a long hex key and have a -solid- hull brace or even, a powerful torsion rod for the idlers.

Getting closer, I've been tiding up different parts of the build and completing others.

Hi Herman,

I am considering a clear primer if I can find one that will at least allow me to photograph it in it's "natural" state before actual painting.

Thanks Painless!

I had thoughts of just that but had not considered a hex key. I'll have to "noodle" on that for a while.
