Top notch detailing :clap: :thumbup:

That photo reminds me: this was taken later in the campaign. Note the missing extended bustle rack and spare wheel. I have an earlier photo from the Concord "Thunder Run" book which does show them.

Finishing up the turret: since I'm saving most of the stowage for last, here are some of the last details I am adding to the turret:

--scratchbuilt six 0.50cal ammo cans;
--loaded the TC's machine gun with 50 cal rounds;
--added the skull!

Paul,

Absolutely: it is this E-bay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUD-FILM-COMBO- ... 1998077918

There are two films: one mainly green and the other mainly red. Both are somewhat translucent so I had simply attached the red film over the material I had already installed with Future floor polish.

Your tank will look great no matter what markings you have!

Hi Tom,

You've got the turret "dialed" in, I can't wait to see the "rest of the story"!

Barry,

Thank you very much! I am looking forward to it myself! Starting to work on the tow shackles on the hull now, and I'm thinking (hoping) that the hull won't be as much work as the turret. I'm looking forward to the painting/weathering/stowage phase.

Just an observation. The ammo can on the 50 is in with the wrong end toward to the gun the way you mounted the lid. The cans hinge should be away from the gun with its opening handle either laying in top of the gun if semi closed, if opened and not removed it would be hanging down off the can away from the gun.
IF I remember correctly the cans lid locking clip is used to hold the can on the ammo can tray once the ammo can is opened.

Greengiant,

You caught me! Yes, the hinge is away from the gun, but I haven't added the clip that rested on the bullet tray since I didn't want to hide the LiveResin ammo just yet!
