sponges challenger 2 build

Post by spongehoobtank82 »

So here we go! It's my birthday so now officially have the chally!

PLAN:
Strip the interior and add the following- metal gearboxes, bearing supports, IBU2 pro, 5000mah lipo, TPA, 1 visaton speaker in hull (and make box for it) 1 in turret, add servo rotation, elevation and recoil also brace hull then paint!

So I have added the metal gearboxes and stripped-down inner hull, now serve recoil here it is do far

Hey scalawag, yeah its just in that position while I wait for the glue in the barrel extension to dry, once it is it will be more bunched up than that :-)
Removed the grills in the turret sides now just got to sand the area down.

Given that Prince Charles and his consort were attacked when being driven in the West End a few years ago I assumed that this was the new armoured Limo! :lolno:
As I watch your progress with the Challenger 2 the more I am being weaned off WW2 armour and I would not be surprised if I find myself in a long queue of like minded followers of your build,
The only thing likely to alter my thinking would be if HENG LONG or TAIGEN came out with a Centurian!
shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Shaun if they came out with a centurion I would be straight on it! But unfortunately I don't think its likely in the near future! But we can dream!

Those aren't grills on the turret sides they are ID panels like the Abrams have. They were put on Challengers In Iraq after a friendly fire incident ( by another Chally) caused the only destruction of a Challenger there.
