Nope, it's gone, you're too late

So a few years ago I bought what was advertised as an 88mm L/71 barrel, but what I got was considerably bigger, as is evident in this picture compared to the barrel from my Heng Long JagdPanther:

Here's a close up of the end of the barrel and the muzzle brake:

Some measurements:

- 340mm total length
- 6mm bore
- 10mm thick, 10mm long section at the base
- Then an 89mm long section of 14mm thickness
- After that it tapers from 14mm to 8mm near the muzzle

If we assume 1/16th scale, the barrel would be 5440mm long IRL.

- If it's a scale 105mm barrel, this would make it just under 52 calibers long, so a 105 L/52. There were a few German prototypes with a 105 L/52.
- It it's a scale 128mm barrel, this would make it 42.5 calibers long. I don't think there were any 128mm armed vehicles with an L/42 barrel, I think all the 128s in use were L/55?

The barrel is aluminum, the muzzle brake is brass.

Maybe someone can use it? It's just collecting dust over here.

In return I'll take whatever spare stowage you can spare. I'll happily take:

- Boxes and crates
- Duffel bags
- Jerry cans
- Oil drums
- Camo nets
- Aerial recognition flags (German, Russian)
- Anything else that can be glued to a tank to give it some personality

Alternatively, if you happen to have a spare set of these track link holders I'll also happily take them off your hands:

<Edit> There is an interested party, so the barrel might be claimed.

<Edit2> Yup, it's gone.

It's a barrel for a tamiya Porsche king tiger
It's made by schumo
Rear find indeed

You sure? It's significantly longer and thicker than a HL 88mm L/71 barrel, ostensibly the same gun that any KT ever used.

Totally sure because it has the recoil extention on for the tamiya unit

Thanks for letting me know. I'll update the thread title accordingly.

I even have an interested party already.

the base line in red for each barrel ..is the point to measure the length form to compare
The bit to the right of the red line is HL and tamiya adapter to fit there Turrets mounts
The left of the red line is the correct barrel length The
Porsche monoblock barrel was soon replace by the 2 part barrel
As it was easier to replace due to barrel wear ..

If this is still available, i would like to talk a deal for swaps.
I am restoring a Vintage Tamiya King Tiger and this may work perfectly for my needs.
