IBU-Electronics are happy to announce that the IBU3 is in it's final stages of development and soon to be tested by specially selected users.

The IBU3 will be feature packed with everything currently in the IBU2 Base & Pro version plus these

- Redesigned track ESC allowing even finer speed control across the full spectrum
- More lighting options
- Improved realistic inertia profiles
- Test mode to confirm tank motors are wired correctly
- 2 selectable machine guns (light and sound)
- 10w + 10w on board audio amplifier
- 10 Channel digitally mixed audio channels
- 64mb on board memory for storage of CD quality audio files
- USB connectivity and free software to allow users to change sounds, settings and even update firmware
- Dynamic engine sounds
- Expansion socket for upgrade cards i.e. Gun Stabilization Module

Please note the IBU3 is to be sold along side the IBU2 range which will still be sold and fully supported through our authorized dealers.

How big is the new board? What's the approx price for board, transmitter & any necessary gubbins?

It be about same size of the IBU2.

The big board in the picture is a developer board to make easy to make connections etc for doing tests.

Difficult to say with final production costs could vary, software licence agreements fees etc (the software is issued free with IBU3 but it still needs producing by a third party).

I can say it will be aimed at been a better package than the IBU2 Pro & TPA so expect the price to reflect that.

In addition to the wiring test feature there is also an easier setup sequence with the radio transmitter.

Basically doesn’t matter what mode your radio is in, and the IBU3 to receiver channels can be in any order.

Initiate radio setup.

Move any stick (only 1) fully forward and backwards. This is now set as your throttle.
Move another stick fully both directions. This is now set to steering.
And so on.
