Ok I didn't know that it just seems that when you see a vid on the YouTube of a kv using ibu2
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6RkVLr_SMYU
It just don't seem as good as the ibu3 the engine idling or revving or the way it delivers the sound it all seems slightly off
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BK1pVxzJrR0
But if I'm wrong and have just not seen a good video of it why have they made the ibu3 apart from the obvious money reasons and new is good ?
Cheers Ben.

Ben Hi, I assume you know that the IBU2 and the IBU3 as well as the ASP 1 and 2 all have a "MicroSD" card which you can remove and insert into a "MicroSD" card reader which you plug into an SD Slot in your computer.
Once you have configured the card you can then access a library of sounds that you can download to your "MicroSD" card,(Go to www.rctankelectronics.com to download the configuration programme) And if the range of sounds is not enough then you are free to input your own choice of sounds from the "www",
If the world of sound is your priority then the IBU2/3 or the ASP or the CLARK boards are not where you should be looking (Listening) There are specialist sound boards that will satisfy that particular yearning.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Hi Shaun, if I wanted to download some different sounds that are not on the standard SD card that comes with the IBU how do you do it. I've tried..do you need a certain format etc to download onto.
some clear instruction's on this would be nice. Lets say I wanted some sounds from Ian's site how exactly does one go about getting them from his site onto the SD card..

Also lets say my panzer III wanted the mg sounds of the 50cal from the pershing, how can you switch it.

cheers

Hello Nightrider, you have spotted the difference between the IBU2 and IBU3 ( my video is of the KV1 IBU3 )

the IBU2 uses SD card With pre loaded soundsets , and rely on the onboard computer processor (so to say) , to 'play' the sounds , as you can hear you sometimes get small gaps between each step/soundfile.
It takes a lot of work tweaking to the soundsets for them to be super smooth in transitions, but this in how it is With some of the SD based aftermarked sound and controll Boards .

The New range of Boards now , like the ibu3 and Clark TK series , uses onboard chip memory for Storage , so that mean you use the pre loaded soundset, and if you want to change, you Connect it to the pc , and load a New soundset to the card , and it will 'flash it self, and be ready for action.

Here you have a few sound demo Clips

Jake the sounds on my website are for IBU3 and won't work with the IBU2.

In the download section I did a short guide on how to covert and save sounds for IBU2 use.

Great vids and that shows exactly what I was saying about the ibu2 not delivering the sounds as well there is a definite step up as the tank pulls away the sound you can clearly hear switch from one sound file to the next
And I like your sound boxs you created they really bring out the deeper notes in the engine sounds there great but it looks quite a squeeze getting all the gubbings back in to the tanks with them in
Do you know you can mix sound files up when loading them in the ibu3 board
Say use a tigers main gun with the engine sounds from the kv1
Cheers Ben.

I know people do not like to be in front of the camera but you could point camera at the screen whilst talking..a simple video showing what you can do with the SD card in the computer..Changing files etc for Ibu 2 and 3, clark boards. This would help so many people and I'm sure give people more confidence buying aftermarket boards from you guy's. Might save you a lot of time answering questions. Doesn't need to be a vid as long as Mr Yellowshakers s 5-10 min vid step by step with the SD card showing us the computer screen as you go.

Just an idea

Why don't you just add a sound board like a Beier card or something like that. Then you can have a true dedicated sound card and use your Torro or Taigen electronics? It appears you are after pure sounds. Paul (Tiggr) and I have them and enjoy the sounds. Check out my Beier video in other electronics. Don't get me wrong, any IBU or Clark will give you superior sounds over stock. Read the post in Beier sound board
