Heng Long Truck

Post by Mendip Wursel »

I have done a bit more work on my Tank Trailer using an extended Bruder low lowder. Hitched it up with one of the new Heng Long trucks with a few alterations. Added an additional axle to the truck but was a bit underpowered when pulling loaded trailer, so hitched up the added axle to a second motor. It now pulls much better with the extra power. Not finished yet but getting there.....

Video below is with the second axle hitched up to a second motor

That looks really impressive, the work going on with these trucks is tempting me to get one, but I am holding out for the 6x6 version.

So I have it on good authority, they are apparently also going to do metal gear upgrades, servo steering etc. They and WPL seem to have done a deal with CrossRC, so the 1/12 scale trucks that are in the CrossRC range will appear in the HL range, the first two are already in production. CrossRC do 1/12 6x6 versions of the truck that should be coming out in 1/16. Nowhere near the same quality of course, but good enough for battlefield runarounds.

A Merry Christmas to everyone from a sunny but cold Northern Italy.
