Working smoke grenade launchers?

Working smoke grenade launchers?

Has anyone attempted working smoke grenade launchers for their tanks? I was thinking of something that could be fired electronically that shot a tiny little canister that would pop in the air about 2 feet away from the tank and poof out a cloud of talcum or some other type of powder to simulate a real smoke grenade countermeasure.

I tried searching the forums for this, but couldn't find anything. My apologies if this has been discussed and I just missed it.
