1:16 bolts. Where?
Hi all, I've searched here and on the webs but can't find any.
Does anyone know of somewhere i can get some tiny wee bolts?
I need to mock up a cover for my Tiger 1 air intake having discarded the Feifel system and bolts would be a nice touch.

You might also want to check Knupfer Modellbau (using google to translate), compare offering and prices, and taking into account the quantities involved. Their shipping is fast and costs are also very reasonable.

Option One (of many); https://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/inic ... ivets.html
Option Two (of many); https://ak-interactive.com/product/ak-h ... d-die-set/
I like Option Two, because I get to use a tiny hammer... viewtopic.php?f=38&t=31943

Are you committed to scratch building a cover or are you open to modifying a cast part like I did. Is this an early or later Tiger?

Thank you guys. A variety of options. Square4 wins for me, those look ideal and are in the UK.

As its just a plate with six bolts scratching it seems the simplest snd cheapest option.Jimster wrote:Are you committed to scratch building a cover or are you open to modifying a cast part like I did. Is this an early or later Tiger?
Its a well used fairly early tiger that the crew have adapted to suit their needs. Some things have been discarded along the way as they proved unnecessary or just a hindrance.

Sounds like a good plan. Tigers are the most awesome.

I have been using the good offices of Dom & Prime Miniatures for years,
Totally trustworthy and a very fast turn round of orders,
If you do buy Nuts/Bolts and washers I would suggest you buy a pair of Nutspinners of the same size at the same time because tightening small scale fastenings without is very difficult.
A tip on using Nutspinners,
After putting a nut in the nutspinner a dab of Spit will hold it in position until it engages the thread of the bolt.
A Small Rolson "Tap @ Die" set will make life easier if only to chase preformed threads that will not take a bolt otherwise.

I think I am about to upset someone

Looks like I may 'need' more than a nutspinner. The rabbit hole deepens again.
