Was metal gears something that would be standard or a upgrade he did?

Heng Long Panzer IV F2, 27Mhz, RX18 MFU, "metal" gearbox edition.

The gearbox to the pot-metal version was a factory option.
This was the next generation of control board from the other Panzer IV you recently posted, but with an "enhanced" gearbox.

I agree that it's a keeper. Again, some electronics upgrade and a touch of weathering... Now you got me curious: does anyone know how to get the goofy HengLong numbers off without damaging the rest of the paint?

If you can get a fingernail under an edge it will peel off very easily because they are not Decals but have a sticky back.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
