very old 27 mhz Pz IV with channel selector on the hull side.

How does the smoke module work? I assume there is a liquid needed to make it work?

That is a older Heng Long Panzer IV, 27mhz controller. A S&S version (Sound & Smoke). Produced Around 2008-2010.

The control board that is up against the wall is a RX13 MFU (For Smoke and Sound control) and the daughter board sitting on top of the battery box is the 27Mhz Receiver.
Base version with all plastic tracks, sprockets, and gearboxes.

Should be a switch on the bottom of the tank.
Main on/Off power switch, Smoker On/Off, Volume control turning knob, and the side wall mounted receiver "channel" switch.

Yes, you need to have a liquid added, baby oil is a viable option, but fluids like MegaSteam are currently very popular (Especially the diesel smell version and the bacon smell version). If turned on without liquid you can burn out the element. Too much liquid and the element will not heat up enough to "create smoke". Usually put into the smoker unit via an eyedropper in the exhaust tube if a cap is not on the smoker unit itself.
