It's definitely a Tiger II (King Tiger). I believe it is probably an even older Heng Long. RX-13 control board generation maybe?

absolutely
not complicated, to recognize? if the battery is accessible from below, it is not Tamiya, and given the age of certain parts, only HL, the telescopic antenna of the transmitter? only 27 Mhz, not to mention the yellow batteries (Nicd) obsolete to date

Tamiya is the better brand better quality and accuracy , heng long more popular as a lot cheaper than tamiya, Matorro have split into torro and mato. Mato now make all metal tanks while torro is the same as taigen which you have in the u.s.

you can tell this king tiger is matorro as the square on the bottom of it has matorro moulded on it
The sturm tiger you have could also be matorro

except that Tamiya has not evolved, electronic level, :( to date compared to HL, Torro, Taigen, who understood that it was necessary to change the frozen electronics RX 13/18, etc by systems today, with more realism for functions and sounds. The HL is delivered ready to operate, the Tamiya is delivered as a kit to assemble.
