Post by jarndice »

Just ordered a Heng Long Challenger2 version 6.0 from Howes,
Are there any warnings or helpful tips that I should know about the thing?
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I just watched an RCMotion YouTube video of it and it looks pretty cool. It was a BB version. With your prototype knowledge I have no doubt you will end up with a top shelf model.

As I recall reading a couple of builds here the Idler Mounting is weak, plastic cracks!

So depending on how you operate yours they could possibly fail. :O

It's a nice model as standard and the V6 mfu ensures a good drive with an IR battle system but if you want something special then the 3D printed Megatron kit really hits the spot. There's plenty of internal space for other upgrades too.Image

You may just get the V7 operating system in that unless it stated the V6 version

I took the rip panels off the turret when I got mine, something that was copied by another tanker

What do you mean by "rip panels"? Are you talking about the CIPs (combat identification panel)?

Yes the panels either side of the turret to bring it into a uk version tank in just nato green. We called them rip panels, rapid identification panels when view through the thermal sights.

I have a cabling issue with mine atm, I was upgrading to 360 turret rotation, the cannon sound operates, slight tank recoil, no machine gun flash, fitted a brand new bulb assembly still no flash. No airsoft function, great for a young child to use as no pellet operation.
Tempted to leave the functions as they are and sell it, I hardly use it any more.
