Hey Tiger, fortunately for me, the Panzer IV L/70 (A) (the correct nomenclature for these ugly ducklings) is seen in wartime photos as having four return rollers, unlike the Vomag version which, in the latest iteration, had three return rollers and, like you said, had them re-positioned. So no more butchering of the lower chassis is in store. I hope you'll post your build pictures for our community in the 'Builds" section here.

The last return roller is a little lower than the other 3, even on the earlier models

The rear roller is 3 to 5mm lower than the leading three rollers.
