Vintage Tamiya King Tiger

Post by PNW Paul »

Hi guys, picked up a vintage Tamiya King Tiger for next to nothing for a restoration and was wondering if anyone knew if there was parts compatibility with the newer model as far as the body goes? The rear plate has some slight damage and the barrel is broken at the muzzle. I know the drivetrain, turret and electronic components obviously are incompatible but curious on the body. Thanks

Hi Paul if you could first go to the introduction page and offer a few details about yourself that would get you a more positive response.

After further research it looks to be the same, however I need parts tree D which is discontinued and apparently not available anywhere. Looks like its scratchbuild time I guess.

Hello, what part exactly are you looking for? Is it possible to adapt newer engines and electronics, but will be more expensive than a complete new tank?

At the moment a rear plate, and a muzzle to start with.

Forgive me for sounding pedantic but when you say "Muzzle" do you mean the "Barrel" or the "Muzzle Brake" or both ?

Aha! I see pics of this little gem have already been posted! That's pretty cool looking!

Cheers,
Eric.
