what to do with a tamiya sherman

Post by paulc »

hi all I have a Tamiya RC Sherman one of the earlier ones before the full option came out. I was thinking of turning it into the T34 calliope but have noticed none of them have the HVSS suspension.
I don't really know what to do with this Sherman as to be honest I'm not that knowledgeable about Sherman's and all the variants. just looking to do something a bit different but not having to spend a small fortune doing so. Has any body got any ideas for me? Thanks

Would it really bug you to have a T34 calliope with HVSS?

You could always do the m4a1e8. The a1 version of the easy 8. They are quite unusual as models. The only model easy 8s I have seen are a3. but the a1 version did exist

IMHO , the 76mm turret benefits from surgery to correct the poor shape. Someone did it, I can’t remember who - maybe on RC Universe

Doesn't Nick Aguilar make the 76 turret to fit the Tamiya.

Or how about just the HL bottom hull? Or just swap the running gear? There's even the Taigen bottom hull option.

On this Tamiya kit in question, even though it's not the full option kit, would it still have metal parts like the suspension arms?
