That is sadly true Mick, not many alternatives :thumbdown: it's a shame though that we are perceived as hobbyists and enthusiasts that we can afford and will pay extra for such items, many of the rc vehicles which I referred to that can be found on Ebay have higher specs as in metal chassis, suspension etc and are far more affordable. The thing with the ebay items is that a lot of them are marketed as toys which are aimed at a younger market and therefore they realise that the majority of parents will not pay higher prices for their little cherubs to destroy them :haha: so therefore the price reflects this or they would not sell many units. Unfortunately the more disposable income that people think you have the more willing they are to take it off you :( at a more reasonable price i would have been in the market to buy a couple of these but at the moment I'm struggling to justify the need for just one,

Cheers, Lee.

I also wonder how they can justify the price,
I recently bought a 6X6 wheel drive forward control 1/12 truck RTR from "Banggood" for £50 inc post,
Fully detailed cab interior, separate windscreen wipers on a clear plastic screen and mirrors, Opening doors and canvas tilt, Front and rear Lights.
The box acting as a very handy carry case with its built in handle.
All I have done is paint the Exhaust and the oil Tank and the Fire extinguisher and using a chrome inked pen highlighted the mirror glass.
All that for over a £100 less than the schwimmwagen.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Oh yeah, it's like the Heng Long etc trucks, they may not be perfect, but they are a very reasonable price in comparison.
I am however tempted Lee :{

Does anyone know if it comes with sound? The description on the Torro site is Spartan to say the least.

Micks post 'I am however tempted Lee'

As are most of us Mick :D but as Shaun commented on his buy from banggood, it makes you wonder how they can justify the price ??? Its simply because we are crying out for 1/16 vehicles and that the majority of us can afford it, that's why the price is what it is. How many of these at this price do you think will find their way under the Christmas tree as a childs toy !!! I suspect none :thumbup:

You're so right Lee, one definitely won't find its way under the Christmas tree here, it'll be either delivered to a neighbours, or here when the missus is out the house. . . .

Anything for a quiet life.
She can complain as much as she likes when I'm gone :D
