Hi guys,
Does it make sense to purchase the Tamiya Panzer IV with the single motor and no electronics with the intention of using AM gearboxes and electronics?
Is the Tamiya a better overall kit than any of the others available?
Having spent a considerable amount of effort and dollars in making the HL M1A2 chassis sturdy I was thinking the Tamiya would be a better starting point.
Your thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Barry

Re: Is the Tamiya Pz IV the best overall starting point?
I have one Tamiya PIV kit, and even when it is cool and is much better than the king tiger, i found the asiatam PIV WAY, WAY stronger.
I have one asiatam with tamiya suspension for sale if you want it, and might sell the tamiya kit when I finish painting it too. But If I have to choose one hull, asiatam with no doubt. Some people seemed to had problems with the asiatam, but it seems I waw lucky and mi asiatam kit came perfect.

I have a Tamiya Panzer iv, very good runner. Suspension is brilliant.
Upgraded tracks and added metal return rollers and driveshaft supports.
Also have (for sale I might add) brand new Tamiya Jagdpanzer iv which uses the same chassis.
