how to remove bind button from heng long sherman

Post by percy1510 »

hi everyone
as title suggests I am trying to remove the binding button that is inside the battery compartment on a latest generation heng long sherman. I have removed all of the other Electronics as I want to put an ibu2 board in. just wondering if anyone has removed one of the bind buttons before?...
I can't tell if it is held in by some very strong glue is screwed in somehow.
any help would be appreciated
thanks

I'd call it ultra glue. I've removed three (to build a new battery compartment) a twist will get it free, all were reusable but were not in the best of shape after twisting off.

I thought it felt like strong glue.
I will have a go at twisting it to loosen it later

de bonder? Who needs Debonder when you have a massive set of pliers :D
A bit of twisting, pulling and prising did the trick. I would love to know what glue is used, talk about a good bond...
