Anyone have an e-mail for Axel's? I am wanting to order a quantity of the small air intake screens for the Sherman tanks but going through the website it wants 36 Euros for shipping!!! Yikes! They could all fit in a $2.00 stamped envelope! LOL! Can't figure out why so much for shipping so just want to ask him about it...

You won’t get any joy.

Shipping is capped at the same rate for everything.

Ordered a new Tamiya tank - €13.50.

Ordered some schumo bits - €13.50.

I will let you know. I have contacted him in all media. Will be interesting to see what he says. If an issue will have a friend in Germany purchase and ship for me. Have done this basically around the world when I think shipping is too much.

LOL :haha: funny you mention the postage cost.
Just two days ago I wanted to order a 1/16 Schumo kit mg34. Something you could fit in a small padded envelope.

The postage cost was 50 Euro.
Outrageous ! More than 3 times the price of the item. :wtf:

Needless to say I purchased a cheaper item elsewhere.
Cheers
Steve

I've also had a similar issue with Axel's. I ordered a set of sherman periscope guards which obviously weigh next to nothing and had some ridiculous shipping charge slapped on me at the checkout. I had ordered parts from him before without extortionate postage costs so assumed it was an issue with the website and dropped him an email. I was basically told that was the cost of shipping and I could take it or leave it. Unfortunately I couldn't find them available anywhere else so I ended up setting up an account with a German mail forwarding service with very reasonable rates and did it that way. I'm not sure what his game is with International shipping, maybe he has enough local business and cant be bothered anymore.

Do you have my info on the mail forwarding company?
