Taigen/ Henglong

Post by Bulldogger »

what are the differences in the Taigen V1 system and the H/L 5.3 system? I see the taigen has a cooling fan on the motherboard. Is someone familiar with both systems?

These systems are very similar, but differ slightly in the colour coding of the wiring, and with cooling fan on the Taigen MFU, as you've observed..and with some differences in their respective terminal/connection blocks.. Here's a link to a useful visual description of the 5.3 HL set up (no text as such):

Here's link to Taigen's upgrade to VI electronics; the V2.

Here's the layout of the V1 motherboard, and there's not much more about it there.

As you clearly know, the V2 and 5.4 versions are radical improvements on these earlier versions. There's plenty of relevant stuff on Youtube and in the archives here...

Do you know if the Taigen and Heng long boards are interchangeable?
