Taigen Panther F - internal layout

Post by bfrank1982 »

Hi Guys.

I need your experience and ideas for my new Panther F from Taigen.

1) I need to make the lower hull outdoor proof. Any suggestions to close off the Holes from the on/off switch plate?
It seems a bugger to remove for reworking?

2) what are your internal layout? I need to fit an IBU2U board, Tarr smoker, 2000 Mah battery and a reasonable speaker.

Please also take into consideration that I might go for servo travers, Guess it will need a bit more space in the lower hull?

Any ideas are welcome.

Please show pictures ud you have done one yourself

Regards.

Bfrank.

Hi Maxmekker.

Very sweet looking KittyImage

Are you running any Tarr smoker along with it? I cant see any in your layout?

Also are you running servos for turret movement?

Regards

Hello :)
No smoker, prefere to fit bigger speaker for sound experiance . Alos the PDSGB gearbox takes up a little more space backwards than the stock 4/1's

stock (to swing) turret motor . Servo for recoil, and stock motor for elevation

In this and my tiger , i just bolted on a servo, with strips ( after removing the recoilmotor from the stock Taigen/Torro Recoilunit )

made a small piano wire linkage, and hoping it will stand up to the (ab)use :haha:

I use Clark tk60 board in this one , just plug the servo into the recoil port

Nice looking system.
Is it a special brand for Clark boards? Or is it the original Torro/Taigen?

But you are not running IR or xenon/blitz?
Or is it just hidden under (above) the lower White plate?

I have looked at a system from RCtankelectronics, but he wasnt sure the system would fit into the turret without to much modification, wich is not my strongest ability Im afraid.

The recoil unit I used, was the Stock one allready in the turret .
I was to use the Clark recoil (universal) unit , but since turret is of metall, and hard to alter, I just went the easy route and removed the recoil motor and spring in the torro recoil unit , and Attached a servo as in photo With a link arm.

servo then Connects to recoil/servo port on tk60 Board, and bada bing

blizt is installed (later) , just not showing in photo

Just kept the Stock motor and rewired it to fit the 9pin wire coming from top hull ( tap into the correct wires )
